@jessica_cuscuna i agree. I always prefer face to face communication. When it is behind a screen, i personally find many things can be hidden and misinterpreted!
To conclude my tweets, i would like to say i really enjoyed this class as a whole; each topic was extremely interesting. I believe other online classes should look into integrating online platforms such as twitter for there students to get there word across. #educ307#econcordia
I really enjoyed having twitter as a discussion board for this class; I have the application directly on my phone, therefore i was able to tweet immediately when something came to my mind. #educ307
In my opinion, having twitter as our 'discussion board' for this class, made it 100 times more intriguing. It was a fun way to communicate our thoughts and opinions to one another. #educ307
I really enjoyed taking Educ 307 as an elective. I believe it has enhanced my understanding of social networking and the overall impact social networks have on our everyday lives. #educ307
going back to the Mickey Mouse Monopoly: 'In spite of the criticism, i still find engagement in Disney, because it is something that i grew up with." #educ307
I have to say that the 'Spectacles of hate speech: An exemplary approach to transgressions in black metal'- by Vivek Venkatesh and Brad nelson was extremely interesting. #lesson13
"Media is not just some shapeless form waiting for a message; it plays an important role in the production of messages and meanings constructed."(Castro 2014)
I agree! Educ 307 would not have been the same without Twitter. I personally find it enhanced my understanding of this course. #educ307 https://t.co/zg3jkVRRV3
I think a lot of people emphasize the negative of social media and teaching, but through this course and using Twitter it made me realize a lot of positives that can come with it and how easily and beneficial it can be when connecting with others.
I suggest spending a class on how powerful social media is with your students or build a curriculum throughout the semester that integrates technology #lesson13#educ307
