Finally given in and doing some basal tests to even out the highs and lows over lockdown but training still on track for sept sprint tri. This week has seen a swim/run combo to build on last weeks bike/run. Still plenty work to do! #rundmc25k@1Paulcoker
@1Paulcoker hey - anything you can point me to for fuelling? I’ve tried my partners gels (torq I think? May be another brand, 20g ish) or a banana. And have basal cut back. I may need to cut it back less when fuelling, and know about 60g /h, but it’s not quite working for me yet
@ditzydiabetic I’m camping for 3 nights just now. I brought 4 ... (I also usually change set every 2 days) that was me being more conservative than usual! I also brought a few libres #justincase
Sunny weekend = a 1km Koch swim, 5k run and some yoga. Still seem to go high after despite cold shower and warm downs and this stretching 🤷🏻♀️ so just trying out a 130% basal for an hour or 2 and see what that does... @_diabetes101@1Paulcoker#RunDMC25K
Have struggled to get out in evenings this week, too much other stuff, so decided to try a sprint / HIIT run over my (short) lunch break, and maybe an outdoor swim tonight. Hoping my team don’t mind me being a bit sweaty this afternoon! @_diabetes101@1Paulcoker#rundmc25k
@Sheridansmith1 I brought my girls to see this in Edinburgh 3y who, then 12&9. They loved it 💕 and eldest ranks it one of her most memorable MT shows. 😍😍😍
@1Paulcoker Oh and I loop, so on a pump but also have to factor in effect on algorithms etc. Have found all this much easier with looping but still a way to go
@1Paulcoker I’ve wondered if the high is in part as I have less iob from cutting back to do exercise but my body is returning to some kind of less active state and needs more again?? /2 or 2
@1Paulcoker I bet! I am rubbish at warm downs, tho did walk for 15 mins after run today (only because I had some shopping to do on way home...). Cold shower interesting... /1
