@DPL1x@rtenews 7 days notice as legally required. Longer notice in excess of 14 days as requested by Aer Lingus excuses them from obligation to compensate passengers under EU261. Discussions ongoing for 22 months now with no progress.
Hearing anecdotally of energy firms offering very competitive rates upon contract renewal (not sure how widespread this is!).
28c/kWh is much, much lower than anything published (around 10c/kWh less than Yuno energy, for example).
Some thoughts...
In Swords, a long-term tenant facing a no-reason eviction finds she’s far from alone. Her overseas landlord has issued notices to quit under the same law to some of her neighbours, and to residents of at least two other apartment complexes in the city.

@Postvox I have been sent a customs charge to pay VAT on goods I bought online from Northern Ireland. Aren't goods from NI exempt from VAT and customs?
Are energy companies delaying cost pass-through?
A short🧵:
tl;dr: I expect companies to lower prices when it is profitable for Electric Ireland to do so.

@eir Your sales rep says we can't get broadband because there is no free port on our local cabinet. It's a rural area. We moved into the house on Saturday. The previous owner had fibre with eir and transferred the broadband to their new home. Unlikely that their port isn't now
free but you're telling me that while that's probably true, it could take 2 weeks before your system shows the port as available. Can nobody on your end check that the port that was in use at this address until Saturday is in fact free to be used by us? We only have bad mobile
