Hearing anecdotally of energy firms offering very competitive rates upon contract renewal (not sure how widespread this is!).

28c/kWh is much, much lower than anything published (around 10c/kWh less than Yuno energy, for example).

@eir Your sales rep says we can't get broadband because there is no free port on our local cabinet. It's a rural area. We moved into the house on Saturday. The previous owner had fibre with eir and transferred the broadband to their new home. Unlikely that their port isn't now
