The web development gets too complicated, and I don't mean any of those "fancy" frameworks. It uses too many of a quite low level thing web browsers have to provide access to. It is dangerous, it is slow, it is wrong.

Spent some time practicing C and embedded kung-fu. Learned how to make a web browser, saw how masters make programming languages using nothibg but assembler.

Does anybody use #raspberrypi 4 for surfing video sites such as youtube ? Does it work fine for you ? For me, any fullscreen video for at least FullHD resolution runs slow, is it a common problem that possible to fix ?

@arcan_fe android is sux at everything but spying.. not sure, maybe it sux at it too. There're no X11 and those rdp/vnc/etc implementation laying on top of its graphic library that can't draw fast enough.

Those "rust" applications make me feel like an outsider when I try to read the source code. I thought I don't need to learn it because I won't use it but people make opensource software using it and it makes opensource development even harder.

Those Chinese USB connectors which help connect an external HDD do not support wakeup function because of the proprietary nature of such hardware I guess .

The fanniest thing about that power consumption stuff is that almost every hardware part is proprietary. Are there any OpenSource implementation available ?
