Congratulations Freddie, Andy, Teoscar, Max, Mookie and Will on being named All-Star Ballot Finalists! Send the Boys in Blue to Philadelphia as starters when Phase 2 voting begins on 6/29.
Something I've tweeted about in the past but that is coming to mind as I look at people being concerned with "burn out" is how often it is misattributed to fatigue from overworking. While chronic overworking can be a problem, I believe most issues with "burn out" stem from degrading morale within an organization. A key way to tell is if you take a bunch of time off, come back to work, and instantly get the feeling back. You're not fatigued; you're disillusioned with your current situation.
The neurodivergent ick when you realize mid-convo that correcting them is pointless because they'd need self-awareness and emotional intelligence to even process that they're wrong.
Unpopular to say but you’ve been giving yourself grace every day the last ten years, and it’s became a road block for you actually doing something to improve
Be kind with yourself, but also be real
Time to make a move and get aligned
@kellabyte I still use MacRumors as a guide: “Last updated in in October 2024, the Mac mini is nearing the end of its product cycle, so you should wait to buy if you can. We are expecting new Mac mini models with M5 and M5 Pro chip technology sometime around mid-to-fall 2026.”
Reminder for all young parents:
You only get:
- 1 Summer with your baby
- 3 with your toddler
- 9 with your child
- 5 with your teenager
This time is precious. Don’t rush it.
Gentle reminder:
For every $100 you reduce in monthly expenses, you need to save $30,000 LESS for retirement (according to the 4% rule)
100/month in expenses = $1,200/year
To generate $1,200/year from a portfolio: $30,000
I was feeling very sad and down when I woke up this morning but I realized I just needed an attitude adjustment. I get to see the first light and drink my coffee watching the birds eat fruit from the tree in my yard.
@MPECSInc@techspence I have a few hundred users using Azure Always On VPN pushed via Intune with pki auth across several clients and when it works it works well, when they have issues we have to troubleshoot individual machines. DA always just kinda worked.
