Quick story to thank someone.

My mom lives about 20 miles out of town in a little village. They only have a volunteer fire department. Last night we called an ambulance for my mom, (she’s fine) the ambulance comes from city but the volunteers shows up right away.

I drove out to meet the ambulance last night and the half the village is there to help mom. The property where she lives has been in our family for 70 years. My grandparents lived there.

Anyway, one of the volunteers is an older guy. Helped mom when she broke her tailbone and needed to get down stairs to ambulance last yr. Helped numerous times w my dad. I thank him and he says to me. “I was here when your grandma was sick and your grandpa had his two heart attacks”.

He helped save my grandpas life during his first heart attack, extended his life by 10 years.

My grandma died 40 years ago. This man had been a volunteer firefighter for FORTY-THREE years. Doesn’t make a dime. Just helps a community.

With all the negativity in the world. Remember people like this.
