@Wise why has my card stopped working at ATM’s in Europe? Been

He wanted to be PM in order to be PM. He didn’t expect there to be work. His narcissism persuaded him we would all love living under him & laughing at his ‘jokes’. He was a perfect, one-man argument for the abolition of Eton.
@SingaporeAir Yes tried that, cleared history, tried two other computers, new browser, have reached out toKrisFlyer team by filling out the firm that they request. Waited three days, twice no REPLY from them!!
@SingaporeAir I’ve tried the emails given at the end of the registration process, today it failed giving me N9519, but I’ve had three different error codes, it tells me to try again in 24 hours, have been doing that for a week!!
Sundays are for not rushing about, they are For drinking tea while it’s still hot, pottering about and giving yourself permission to simply be. We spend so much time thinking about what still needs doing that we forget to look back at everything we’ve already done. So today, a little pause. A little gratitude. And perhaps another cup of tea. You’ve achieved more than you think. x Happy Sunday lovely potterers.
This is a true story and relates to a post about ex Armed Forces and housing.
Some of us have also served in the armed forces.
I am one of 125 MoD caretakers across the UK and NI.
We work at Army Reserve and UOTC centres.
All of us have to live in tied accommodation that comes as part of our employment.
The 125 of us will be made redundant on the 31st of March 2027.
This is not a personal choice; we are part of the MoD's 10% cost-saving cuts. We are the lowest paid in the MoD; we earn less per annum than a 17-and-a-half-year-old in basic training in the Army. Some of us have served for decades. Yet we are committed and steadfast in maintaining the operational security and effectiveness of the Reserves Centres that we work at and in some cases manage.
When we are made redundant, our tied accommodation must be emptied and ready to hand over by the 31st of March. We and our families are not entitled to be rehomed. Again, this is not our choice; this action is being forced on us after years and decades of dedicated service to the MoD, the Army, and the our Country. This is a life-changing event for us all.
There is a lack of information, and as each week counts down to March, the stress on us all and our families increases. Yet, here in the UK, we have not only non-taxpayers but also people who are in our country illegally being given new priority housing.
Nobody is interested in our story or wants to help, and the media, with ethe exception of (The Scotsman) either do not want to report on or publish our story, or the information they are relating to is incorrect.
This is a true story and relates to UK tax paying nationals. Some of us have also served in the armed forces, and at least one of us is currently on Operational Tour, and will not be back in the UK by March 31st.
🤬🤬🤬
So, if I understand this correctly:
- Fire and rescue services all over the UK have been tackling a horrendous number of wildfires, becoming more and more stretched with each passing day.
- Those in charge came together and asked Andy Burnham to use the emergency alert system to ask people to stop doing stupid shit that leads to wildfires, because it could easily get to the stage where there are no longer the resources to tackle every new fire, leading to an even more serious risk to life.
- A lot of people are furious about the above.
Jeez this fucking country.
@frgbju Yes agree, once again I think the “it won’t happen to us” strategy has been used, hopefully the new PM will pull his finger out and order what the fire teams want!!
Gabriel, I am grateful for your work on this story. It is a vital piece of the puzzle that brings us closer to the truth.
However, many independent journalists who have been working on this for years are watching your sudden success with deep irony.
They are asking themselves what they did wrong. While they spent a decade uncovering these truths from the tireless work of @carolecadwalla and @peterjukes to the sharp investigations of @OneFinanceGuy, @nw_nicholas or @donmcgowan and many others, they were met with silence and isolation.
Now, it appears you and The Sunday Times are being hailed as the best journalists in the world for reporting what they have known, documented, and faced ridicule for so long.
As a citizen who has followed these independent voices for over a decade, I am compelled to ask a difficult question.
These journalists have been exposing the connections between @Nigel_Farage , the criminal underworld, US billionaires, the Epstein files, Trump, and Bannon for years.
They did not just face silence, they were actively gaslighted and portrayed as conspiracy theorists while holding onto hard, verifiable evidence.
The mainstream media did not just remain silent, they worked to conceal these facts and actively prevented the truth from reaching the public.
One must ask: if they were so deeply complicit in suppressing the truth for so long, are they not also part of the very circle they now report on?
Furthermore, Gabriel, I have a direct question for you: do you plan to investigate the role of Palantir and the situation in Cambridge?
These are key players who have surrounded Farage and were involved in recruiting for the Reform Party.
Why has this been kept in the dark?
Why is it that the mainstream media, which ignored and suppressed these findings for so long, has suddenly decided that this story is worth telling?
Was it the evidence itself, or did it simply take a green light from institutional authorities and media moguls like Murdoch for this narrative to become acceptable?
Let us be honest: a media mogul like Murdoch does not turn on a political asset like Farage unless there is a strategic shift.
If you try to tell me this is purely a matter of journalistic integrity and a commitment to the truth, please, do not make me laugh.
It is time to open the conversation about the true cost of Brexit. We see the results clearly now: the deliberate strategic goal to isolate the UK from the EU, particularly regarding our defence strategy.
It is time to hold accountable not only those who funded Farage and the Brexit campaign, but also those in the media and our institutions who not only remained silent but actively covered up these facts for ten years while the public was misled.
We must demand to know why it took so long for the truth to be treated with the seriousness it deserved, and who will answer for a decade of complicit silence.
Perhaps the @CountBinface could grace us with an answer, provided he can find his way out of the shadows to enlighten the British public.

@patmarsh@Frances_Coppola Seem to remember the technical reason for choosing the 9 instead of 1 was the equipment at the exchange end was manual, 1was to “quick” causing equipment to jam or stick, a series of spinners representing a number.
@dailybritainonx As 2016 one was won on a small majority, a flawed & biased franchise which excluded all my British family in EU but enfranchised 2.5 million non EU Commonwealth citizens unaffected by outcome & Brexit was sold on a pack of lies & never delivered on its promise of prosperity, YES!
