@albertateachers In 2012 the top of our teacher pay grid was $98,938. To have equivalent purchasing power today we’d need to be earning $128,538, which obviously we don’t. It’s hard to stay in a profession where you lose 20% of your purchasing power while your workload increases by more than 20%.
