Htet Htet Eaindra Aung was a news anchor at 7-Day TV in Yangon when the junta ousted Aung San Suu Kyi's government and shut news organizations like hers.

My father has been hospitalised due to an infection on his leg. Like him, more than 7350 political prisoners in Burma who should be with their families. Instead they are being jailed for believing in human rights & democracy. All political prisoners must be released immediately!
Displaced villagers in Kler Lwee Htu, Karen State, due to attacks by the Burmese military. Increased Burmese Army militarisation in the area makes local people fear more attacks, conflict, displacement, and human rights abuses. Photo- @khrg

This is happening now in MoneYway and KyayMone villages today. Long story short, Burmese Military raided/burnt the two villages, shot people in the heads and ran over the dead bodies they just shot, with the trucks. #WhatsHappeningInMyammar

The city of Htantalan in Chin state has been destroyed by the SAC military. People are now in hiding for fear of their lives. More war crimes being committed by Min Aung Hlaing and his army but no concrete international action!
Response from int'l community shifts from extremely slow to stalling while the military continues to commit atrocities with impunity. For 8 months, we've been calling from an arms embargo, sanctions on revenue & support for justice & accountability measures. Why are you stalling?

Excited for @PTBOpoetry an array of stuff, I want to see. But most of all, @BurmaStorybook - my favourite Burma movie. Thanks for making it happen @williamsonkev . Burma's artists, poets and activists are still being murdered and arrested, yet the poetry and resistance keep on...
"On Living" by Khet Thi, a Myanmar poet kidnapped, tortured and killed by the military junta in March 2021. A salute to a hero who didn't want to be a hero.

#Myanmar military committed #Rohingya#genocide 4 yrs ago. Despite UN Fact-Finding Mission's call for targeted sanctions + cutting ties, biz & govs continue partnering w/ the perpetrators. The lack of accountability emboldens the military to to act w/ impunity. This MUST end✊🏽
Great initiative.
