We also ask health facilities to reevaluate and improve security policies to do everything within their power to protect care teams.

ICU stories: Middle-aged pt with cirrhosis presented to the ED with abd pain and underwent Hartmann's procedure (colectomy - end-colostomy). Next am, pt was hypotensive on rising levo gtt (0.24 from 0.1) and lactate (3.4 -> 6.7). S/he was positive 8 liters in 12 hours

@amalmattu Yup. That’s what he said. I’ve been doing a plan called Optavia for the last several months. 30# down, now w a BMI of 22. I’ve become very aware of all the added sugar. My kids don’t like a lot of American food for that reason. Great plan for this EM doc!
@amalmattu My kids are from Ukraine. When my daughter’s orphanage director visited the US, he couldn’t eat any of our food. He could taste the added sugar in EVERYTHING. Even the McDonald’s tasted healthier over there.
@dr_doddle The entire top floor of our oldest med building were call rooms. One night as a student, my resident told me to lock the door to my call room. They caught a couple of homeless living up there! They added more badge sensors after that.
Anyone who wants me to routinely use hydroxychloroquine for Covid19 in the absence of high quality, and adequately powered studies...
