When I was 20 I starved myself. Today I'm planning 8 small meals with high calories, fat, and protein to help my 8-yo who was on a ventilator gain weight. Every day as the weight comes on he grows stronger, happier, more alive.

Anyway, best to you. We are both obviously on the side of finding solutions, though we may disagree on methods.

@EdOfftopic68292 @AnorexiaMyths My point is that the social influences on eating disorders are well established. Parents, mothers especially, who lack boundaries, for example, has been part of this conversation for decades. How about we actually move forward and progress in our knowledge of ED's.

1. I feel like a loser
2. No, THEY'RE the losers.
3. They're absolutely right, this could be so much better.
Only a handful of occupations/hobbies involve near-constant rejection. If you keep brushing yourself off, that's a power.

When my son had necrotized pneumonia nurses pulled up tissue from his lungs around the clock, cleaned his ventilator, brushed his black curly hair from his sweaty face, comforted us, kept him alive. I will never forget every one of their names & faces. Pay them. #NYCNurseStrike
