@drPLeach Not a GP but when a family member needed to see a psychiatrist, public system too long so had to up our private health insurance. Told we would have to wait for at least 12 months otherwise. Not a good solution for those who can’t afford it

@mbismark The only way I could see a way around this for my family member was to increase my private health insurance to Gold cover. I knew it was going to be too long and needed to get help ASAP

@Caro_Dew_ My siblings and I were with my mother as she was dying from COVID this year. the most heartbreaking video call (I was holding the phone trying to keep it still whilst crying) to her grandkids. Was the most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever done and I’ve been nursing for over 30 years
