WA HB 1399 proposes to change the oversight and qualifications for locally elected sheriffs in Washington State, potentially allowing the state to have more control over their certification and conduct. This could undermine the independence of sheriffs!

Where is the state patrol when there is at least a mile long line of cars stuck behind a semi on highway 104 eastbound west of the hood canal bridge. The semi is going 30 mph in a 60 mph zone. He refused to pull over in the turnout!! @wastatepatrol

Then he was speeding over the hood canal bridge! He turned south on highway 103. We are still behind him along with a mile long backup. 9 miles from Paulsbo.

He has had many opportunities to pull over and has not. This is dangerous because people are taking risks to pass on double yellow lines.
