School exclusions can be the pathway to prison. Infusing trauma informed responsive principles while showing empathy and not exclusion could help our most hard to reach young people.This will also help disrupt the school to prison pipeline 🧠🌱
Let's look at the behaviour of our young people through the lens of co-regulation. Punishing a child doesn't help them regulate their own behaviour. We need to support them how to manage big feelings, not punish them.🧠
