If you're using Unity and are familiar with declarative UI libraries like React or Compose, you need to add Rish to your toolbox. It's the best way to implement user interfaces with UI Toolkit in Unity.
You can learn more about it on https://t.co/w37q7oGYLZ. 😃
We've got an exciting announcement! Today, we're announcing that we're open sourcing, Rish, the reactive Unity UI framework that we developed for BitCraft! Rish is so named, because it's like React-ish! Rish brings reactive declarative UI development to C# and Unity.

- Roots (kinda like Bootstrap, it just have some basic elements to use as a starting point): https://t.co/OOZPsMGkcs
- Sappy (fast event system, Rish depends on it): https://t.co/5mUdYVnFb9
- Motion (animation library, Roots depends on it for animated elements): https://t.co/3aPO6gUhDi

@paulmasri@roboryantron I'm glad you like my implementation of this approach! 😃
I agree that, in your idea, the line between variables and events becomes definitely fuzzy. If that works for you, you should ask yourself if the extra overhead in every FloatVariable is okay.
I've been using this event system I developed based on @roboryantron's Unite talk on my projects and it proved to be very useful.
Feel free to try it and, if you like it, share it with your friends! 😃

Sodas are cool ... but beers are better! As Belgian, I had to do a proper beer bottle simulation ... improving my #Alyx VFX reenactment by adding bubbles, foam, a better bottle model and some finetuning.
