I was so excited when it was my turn to read in a classโฆ. Thatโs was my moment to shine, especially in literature class ๐ฅน๐๐๐๐๐๐
We bought a live chicken for a meal to welcome my dad, he had been gone for a while. He postponed his return so we had to feed it for a week, even named it Eliza ๐ omo when they killed it ehn I couldn't eat o ๐๐.
One time we bought a goat for Christmas, and as kids we fed it, and played with (and around) it. Later that day, it was slaughtered and I cried (I was very young), I was genuinely so sad.
โฆ but when that plate of fried goat meat and Jollof landed in front of me bruh ๐
Trek wey I trek today ehn, places you can go to with 200 last week is now 400 or 500. As if I don't have enough problems as a student already
It won't be well with this government and their supporters
We are not even angry enough, seeing comments like they were warned not to come out sparks another kind of rage in me. If they needed to go to the hospital or had an emergency?? You are just as disgusting as the perpetrators
Canโt walk on the road without men trying to touch you.
Canโt go to a market and tell men not to touch you without being called ashawo.
Canโt go out during a festival without being raped.
This is the sad reality of Nigerian women.
Foolish grown ass men are behaving like animals in the name of tradition. Nobody has a conscience to think that it's wrong, everyday there is a reason added to the list on why we aren't safe as women
We are humans for christ sake!!!!!
