Hello 🌏 I'm launching something new called https://t.co/9CtxwuuOd3
Tomorrow is #EarthDay… so before your feeds fill up with messages about buying things to save the planet, it’d mean the world to me if you’d take a moment to read this and sign up👇

Hey, friends, we just gave our company to planet Earth. OK, it’s more nuanced than that, but we’re closed today to celebrate this new plan to save our one and only home. We’ll be back online tomorrow.

The UK and London has seen the biggest heatwave of all time hit thanks to global warming. The impact extends to the Cloud: London data centers are offline both for Google and also Oracle as cooling systems can not cope with the heat.
(Thanks @mgagliardo_ for the tip.)
This year, 2,400 Spotify employees took part in our annual Hack Week. The theme? Making the planet cooler. Check out one Hack Week project working to unite artists and our platform around our employees’ passion for climate justice: https://t.co/abXYiWOHqY
Often, a Spotify Hack Week project starts with a question. And most often, it continues with even more questions! Learn about one Hack Week team that dove into the puzzle of reusing and recycling IT: https://t.co/dprAgJP9zn
@nicoletellsit Following.
I use Content Strategist as a catch-all, as UX writing is only part of what I do. Even so, I get recruiters thinking I'm a UX designer.
Seems to me the world isn't ready for Content Designer, though it does make the most sense for what I do.
HBU @nicoletellsit?
Been an avid listener of NY Times The Daily for years, and you're awesome @mikiebarb, but the #greenwashing ads have got to stop.

Climate change: This is an interesting chart I came across in Shaastra, the new journal from IIT Madras, edited by @haripulakkat. I wonder what the decadal change in emissions best correlates with. It does not seem to be economic growth.
When was the last time we saw heating this fast? At least 2,000 years ago and probably 100,000 years. Temperatures this high? At least 6,500 years. Sea level rising so fast? At least 3,000 years. Oceans so acidic? Two million years. https://t.co/YIzQITGs9M
@rachel_hump@Joshuapkelly11@phil_maynard@AxelKacoutie Just listened to the podcast from Bangkok, I relate to the frustration. Vaccine rollout has been disastrous in Thailand amidst skyrocketing delta surge. This after >1 year of strict border policy and almost no cases. Didn’t need to be this way. Now there’s no end in sight.
Thank you @circularityhub & @LisaRoolant for this interview on SecondLife Ocean Plastic Recovery & Recycling activities, direct live from the islands of Thailand where we collect. https://t.co/5ToXoZFWuG
