as a luxury fashion marketing student, genuine engagement, audience quality and actual influence matter way more than artificially inflated stats. what’s the point of getting millions of interactions if they don’t translate into real consumer interest or brand value? or at least be proportionate. bots don’t buy products, build brand loyalty or have purchasing power. brands aren’t stupid they have ways to identify suspicious engagement. and especially in luxury it’s not just about visibility but also credibility. like obviously numbers still matter but high engagement doesn’t automatically mean real influence, just like lower numbers don’t mean someone has less impact. seeing people like zendaya, alexa demi, felix and lisa and many more missing from this list just proves why these rankings shouldn’t be treated as the ultimate measure of someone’s influence in fashion
