It’s a subtext that has persisted for as long as there has been mental illness. Which is of course…since the dawn of humankind. It’s incredibly frustrating and the CW has walked into that courtroom for 5 weeks and perpetuated the myths about mental illness that have caused it to be stigmatized, misunderstood and dismissed entirely by those who have never experienced it in any capacity. It’s been absolutely disgusting.
