@EdinburghUni @oldnorthroad @DiSpeirs@GMacandrew James Loxley @oldnorthroad is a Professor of English Literature @EdinburghUni. In recent years he has led a number of research projects funded by the AHRC and the Royal Society of Edinburgh such as @litlong 📚
We’ve had some serious technical issues recently while trying to get our site onto a more sustainable footing, but we’re delighted to say - and we hope we’re not tempting fate here - that we’re now back up and running and here to stay!
In preparation for #JamesHogg250, why not listen to some of his songs, and find out about recent research? There's plenty there to intrigue and inspire -- and there will be more to come in 2020!

See more maps and learn about the project at https://t.co/UWuCj1a2JO or at #PastForwardSUP@Summerhallery from 4 May
We are hosting Fika for staff and students tomorrow morning at 10:30am! Join us on the 6th floor of the Main Library for coffee, cake and chats re: all things digital
26% inanimate objects have plaques in Edinburgh. So we just need to get most of the blokes to be classified as very very VERY lazy (inanimate!) and the @openplaques will be 50% women. Any other ideas of how we fix this?

Our editathons switch over this month and @WikiLovesUK finishes. Good to see some nice monuments captured like this by @LornaMCampbell which now adorns this article

Always that sense of literary landscaping navigating #Edinburgh - from stepping off the train, and past the close where Allan Ramsay founded Scotland's first public theatre in 1736, onwards. Inspiring walking, and positive meetings, today @LitScotland@Saltire_Society@litlong
