We’re going to spend decades negotiating to help tackle the impact of Brexit on everything from the music industry and the City of London to car manufacturing and tourism. Instead, why can’t politicians explain to voters why it’s in the U.K’s interest to be inside the single market and customs union. There is no country in Western Europe that isn’t in some combination of these, or is applying to join.
