Little one started school today. I admit found it a tad emotional waving him off in the morning, but he had a fantastic day, which obviously makes it that little bit easier ๐
@DrGtrombone I resisted the urge to buy one for ages as I love a good paperback, but 3 years ago I also took the plunge and to be honest, Iโve enjoyed using the kindle (also handy for holidays!), but there are some things I refuse to not have in paperback also ๐
@BigPictureLivin Iโve been here before with my masters by research, so thankfully itโs slightly less daunting than it could have been! Though when I have my full data set, it will be larger than my said masters work, so this time itโs definitely more intense! But I find analysis fun ๐
You know youโre at an intense (but very much enjoyable) analysis stage of your PhD when more post it notes are purchased ๐ #AcademicChatter#PhD#AcademicTwitter
As a bit of a tea drinking mug enthusiast, there was only one thing I insisted on getting to celebrate my first academic publication (I had also seen this done before and thought it was a great idea!)โฆ
@DrBeckyMcCarthy Thank you - yeah, it angered me more than anything that if I werenโt that strong minded person; it could have really upset! But nope!
Had someone tell me already my work shouldnโt be celebratedโฆ Well a hearty up yours to you mate. Surely success is subjective, so personally, I feel Iโve done alright for myself thank you!
First academic journal publication accomplished! So excited to share the paper of my masters work into โExploring and comparing differences in contesting and non-contesting brass band players performance anxiety and coping strategiesโ ๐ #IJMHW https://t.co/IV9ZF2H0HO
