To avoid falling into a Ponzi scheme, the genesis launch of @virtuals_io must have truly useful AI agents, I mean those with disruptive innovation. Even one or two would suffice, but I haven’t seen any yet.
Things like AI Q&A, investment advisors, or DeFi through typing are overly simplistic products that don’t qualify as meaningful innovation and can’t support an FDV above $10M. Soon, products like @aidog_agent might emerge, but it doesn't have much to do with AI. @UndercoverIRIS 's capabilities are impressive, but it’s not a must-have product for the masses and still needs a better economic model.
AI still needs a true killer app; otherwise, it won’t attract significant capital into Virtuals’ ecosystem. If the number of participants in the genesis launch is fixed and funds are merely shifted from buying Agent A to the hotter Agent B, the game is unsustainable.
The focus is clear: Virtuals Protocol needs an AI agent that everyone must use to break this deadlock.
Let’s wait and see.
