Sociable dog with people, seems fine with other dogs.
Currently in a Merseyside stray kennels as an unclaimed stray.
Please share far and wide and tag any suitable rescues (unfortunately I don’t have time to get in touch with rescues who are unknown to me, so if you tag bone fide rescues who I don’t already have contact with, they will see this and they will get in touch if they feel they can help).
Please note that because this dog – like all our dogs – needs to be fully assessed before being placed as part of someone’s family, we will NOT respond to any comments, emails or messages from individuals offering to adopt this dog before the deadline shown above. The way that individuals can help this dog right now is to share this post as much as possible and/or tag suitable rescues in this thread.
If you are member of the public looking to adopt a dog, please go to your local dog rescue and adopt a fully assessed dog who matches the home you have to offer. In turn, this will free up a space for a new pound dog to be saved.
I am not the one putting these dogs to sleep. THE KENNELS ARE NOT TO BLAME, they are full. Blame the people who allow their dogs to stray and then never collect them - throwing them away like rubbish. Blame the breeders still pumping out puppies, when there are so many dogs dying. But don’t blame us! And please don’t blame us for doing our very best for both dogs and families by ONLY placing fully assessed dogs into private homes.

Most council pounds in the UK, won't let the public adopt. They will say they do not have the resources to assess all dogs or potential homes.
Rescue shelters in the UK are full‼️
We already have more dogs than homes, people are still selfishly or naively buying puppies online, with no research, no commitment or welfare checks‼️
Councils are still issuing new licences to breed.

The RSPCA have reported a huge rise in abandonment of pets across the #UK 💔
In Wales abandonment has increased by 51%, in Essex it's up by 41% and in Bedfordshire up by 44%

Meet Beau, who looks a happy chappie even though he has got himself lost and ended up in the pound. He is chipped so we are praying that his pawrent claims him. Beau is said to be a a boxer but looks more like a Staffie, he is a brindle with his white shirt and socks on. He needs his space by Wednesday 5th February 2025 - NO EXTENSIONS.
Cannot be rehomed directly to the public. All dogs must pass temperament test to be released from the pound. No other info but this will be added if we get any in time.
