I was rushed to the hospital Saturday morning for my heart. It’s been a rough few days, I’m still here, but doing much better. Please send some love and prayers. 🙏🏼❤️
What to Pray When the Eucharist is Raised at Consecration
At every Mass, there is a sacred moment when time seems to stand still. The priest raises the consecrated Host high above the altar and says,
“This is My Body.”
In that instant, Heaven touches earth. Jesus is truly present, Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity, right before our eyes.
It’s not just a ritual. It’s a moment of deep adoration.
So what should we pray in that holy silence?
Here are a few powerful prayers you can say silently in your heart as the Host is elevated:
. “My Lord and my God!”
These are the words of St. Thomas the Apostle when he saw the risen Christ. A perfect act of faith in Jesus’ Real Presence in the Eucharist.
. “Jesus, I love You. I adore You. I believe in You. I trust in You.”
Simple, heartfelt, and so pleasing to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
. “O Sacrament most holy, O Sacrament divine, all praise and all thanksgiving be every moment Thine.”
. “Lord, have mercy on me, a sinner.”
Said with true humility before the One who can forgive everything.
. “Jesus, I adore You with the Heart of Mary.”
Uniting our poor love with Our Lady’s perfect love.
. Whisper your own private intentions
The Elevation is the high point of the Holy Mass. Don’t let it pass by in distraction. Let your heart rise with the Host. Look at Jesus and adore Him. This is the moment He gives Himself completely to us, let us give ourselves completely to Him.
Next time you’re at Mass, be ready. When the priest lifts up Our Lord, let your soul whisper its love.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,
I trust in You♥️ .
Americans, please settle an international dispute ☕
A British friend told me that when Americans want a hot cup of tea, they fill a ceramic mug with tap water and put it in the microwave for two minutes.
I told him that was impossible. No civilized nation with space rockets and supercomputers would heat water for tea inside an appliance built for reheating leftover pizza.
Then I visited a home in California.
There was no kettle on the stove. There was no electric water boiler. The host smiled, opened the microwave door, placed a mug of cold water inside, and pressed "BEVERAGE."
I stood in the kitchen in stunned silence.
Americans:
Do you actually not own a kettle?
And why does boiling water on a stove feel like a lost ancient technology to so many people? 😂
Employer: "We offer top-tier health insurance! Your monthly premium is only $220."
You: "Great. So if I break my wrist, insurance covers the medical bill?"
Employer: "No. You have a $6,500 individual deductible."
You: "So I pay $2,640 a year in premiums, plus $6,500 out of pocket before insurance pays $1?"
Employer: "Correct. But once you hit $6,500, we cover 80% until you hit your $9,100 out-of-pocket maximum."
You: "So I have to spend $11,740 of my own post-tax money in a single year before I get 100% coverage?"
Employer: "Yes, but it’s pre-tax payroll deductions!"
You: "My take-home pay is $4,200 a month. A single ER visit wipes out nearly 3 full months of my entire net income."
Employer: "That’s why we offer a Health Savings Account so you can save for it!"
You aren't receiving a healthcare benefit.
You are paying monthly access fees for the privilege of self-insuring against medical debt while your corporate employer claims tax write-offs for "providing coverage."
HYPOTHETICALLY… IF I BOUGHT MY HOUSE FOR $125,000 IN 2002 AND THE COUNTY NOW SAYS IT’S WORTH $487,000, WHERE DID I ACTUALLY MAKE $362,000?
Did I sell it? No.
Did I receive $362,000? No.
Did somebody hand me a check for the new assessed value? Obviously not.
But my property taxes still go up because, on paper, my house is suddenly worth hundreds of thousands more.
That’s the part that doesn’t make sense to me.
This isn’t income.
It isn’t cash sitting in my bank account.
It’s a number someone assigned to my property, and now I’m being billed based on that number.
If my stock portfolio doubles but I don’t sell, I haven’t turned that gain into cash.
If my salary stays the same, I don’t suddenly owe more income tax because someone thinks I’m worth more.
So why does owning a home work differently?
WHY AM I PAYING TAX ON A GAIN I NEVER REALIZED?
A house isn’t just an investment.
It’s where people live.
You can pay off the mortgage, own the property outright, and still face a bigger bill every year because the value of the house went up on paper.
At some point, you have to ask what “owning” something actually means if the cost of keeping it can keep rising because of money you never received.
THIS ISN’T ABOUT WHETHER THE HOUSE IS “WORTH” MORE.
IT’S ABOUT BEING CHARGED FOR VALUE YOU NEVER TURNED INTO CASH.
And people are starting to notice.

Every movie I have ever seen taught me one rule.
Never press the red button.
I was lost somewhere outside Tulsa. Phone at 4%. My GPS kept saying "Recalculating" in the voice of a father who has stopped asking about your career.
I pulled into a Sonic to cry. Quietly. Like a gentleman.
Beside my window, a red button glowed.
I thought: so this is how it ends.
I pressed it.
"HIII! Welcome to Sonic! Whatcha havin', hun?"
I had nothing prepared. So I told the truth.
"I think I'm lost."
A pause.
"...Like, lost lost?"
"Yes," I said. And because it was a speaker and not a face, I said the rest. "I moved here in March. I don't really know anybody. I have a job interview in forty minutes and I have no idea where I am."
Silence.
"Hang tight, babe."
Ninety seconds later, a teenage girl came across the parking lot on roller skates. One hand balancing a tray. Sunset behind her. Gliding like an angel who had requested a transfer to fast food and gotten it.
She stopped at my window with a little spin, casual as breathing.
On the tray sat a Cherry Limeade the size of a fire extinguisher.
"On the house. Welcome to Oklahoma."
She took my phone, turned the map sideways, and pointed with her straw.
"Back on 44. Left out of here. Ten minutes, tops."
She handed it back. Then she looked me dead in the eye.
"And hey. You got this."
Nobody had said that to me since I left home.
I made it with four minutes to spare. The cup never fit in my cupholder. It rode between my knees the whole way, like a loyal golden retriever.
Later I learned that size is called a Route 44.
In every movie, a man presses the red button and the world ends.
In Oklahoma, a girl on roller skates comes and saves it.
My subscription is $200 a month. I know — that sounds expensive.
But here's the honest math: I'm making over $100,000 a year doing this. So sharing everything I've learned for two hundred bucks a month feels closer to volunteer work than a business. 😂
People ask me all the time:
"How do you write posts that hit so hard?"
The answer is actually simple.
Most people on social media are focused on themselves.
What do I want to say?
What happened to me today?
What's my opinion on this?
What funny thing did I notice?
I don't start there.
I start with the person reading it.
What are they going to feel?
Which line is going to catch them?
Are they going to laugh? Get angry?
Think about their dad?
Miss their mom?
Remember being a kid, running around barefoot in summer?
Feel homesick?
Suddenly picture a face they haven't thought about in twenty years?
That's what I'm thinking about.
Not 100%.
1,000%.
That's basically the whole thing.
I spend a lot of time going back and forth between Japan and the US, so I have endless raw material — my own experiences, stories I hear, small things I notice. I take all of it, build a rough shape, and then I talk it through with AI.
Because honestly, who else am I supposed to talk to about this all day? I don't have five friends sitting around willing to spend three hours figuring out exactly why one sentence makes a 55-year-old man in Ohio suddenly remember his father. Nobody does.
But AI will sit there and do that with me. Every day.
I understand why some people don't like AI. I really do.
But I'm making six figures doing this.
My posts have reached millions of people.
Elon Musk himself has praised the work.
And AI is part of the process every single day.
So yes — I genuinely believe this is Super Intelligence.
Not the "press one button and it does everything" version. Obviously not.
I pick the subject.
I decide what matters.
I know exactly what emotional reaction I'm going for.
I throw away drafts constantly. I rewrite lines. I change the angle.
I decide what gets published and what doesn't.
All of that is me.
But having something available around the clock that will research, translate, argue with me, rewrite one line twenty different ways, and explain why one word works better than another — until I'm satisfied?
That's an enormous advantage. There's no other honest word for it.
And there's one thing I want to be clear about.
I have never claimed that every story I post is 100% autobiographical, or that I personally typed every word from scratch with no help.
If someone built that picture in their own head, that's their picture. I never told them that. I'm not trying to trick anyone.
My goal is very simple.
I want people who read my posts to feel something real.
I want you to laugh.
I want you to get angry.
I want you to remember something you'd forgotten.
I want a face to come back to you.
I want your emotions actually moving.
That's it.
Most people on social media are focused on:
"Here's what I want to tell you."
I'm focused on:
"What will you feel when you read this?"
That one difference is basically everything I do.
How to get ANY Japanese person to help you:
Say "Sumimasen."
Then 3 words max. Verb LAST.
Say it SLOW. One full second between words.
"Airport... Bus... Where?"
"Subway... Ticket... Buy?"
"Card... Pay... OK?"
My American buddy did exactly this his whole trip. Worked on everyone.
He came back grinning:
"When they understand you, they try SO hard to help."
There are 3 Archangels who Intercede for us.
Here is when to ask for their help!
1. Archangel Michael :
. When you feel under attack,
. Temptation, Fear, Confusion that feels dark.
St. Michael is the warrior,
. He casts down Satan, and
. He defends God's people
Ask St Michael for strength, protection, and courage to fight back.
2. Archangel Gabriel :
. When you need Clarity,
. Big decision, a moment when you need to hear God clearly.
Gabriel is the messenger.
. He appears when God has something to say.
Ask Archangel Gabriel for light, direction, and the grace to say yes to God.
3. Archangel Raphael :.
.When you need healing,
Body, mind, heart, even broken relationships.
Raphael is the healer and guide.
. In scripture, he heals, protects and leads Tobias safely on the road.
Ask Archangel Raphael for healing, peace and guidance, when the road feels long.
I have never been addicted to anything.
I want that on the record before I tell you about H-E-B.
It started at the tortilla counter. A woman in a hairnet looked at me through the steam the way a lighthouse keeper looks at a ship that is clearly about to hit the rocks.
"You want one, mijo? Just came off."
She handed it over in wax paper. It was hot. Not warm. Hot like it had been alive four seconds ago and still had opinions.
I bit it.
Somewhere deep inside me, a small boy who had never been hugged enough sat down on the floor and began to weep.
"Good, huh?" she said, already wiping the counter, as if she had not just rearranged the architecture of my soul.
"...Are there butter ones," I whispered.
She didn't answer. She just smiled, slowly, like a woman who has watched ten thousand men walk up to this counter as strangers and leave as believers.
That was March.
I now know the tortilleria schedule better than my own mother's birthday. My freezer, which once held only ice and regret, now holds forty-eight tortillas. A man in the cereal aisle once leaned over and muttered, "Freeze half," and I nodded like we had been in a war together.
Yesterday she saw me coming from the bakery and had one waiting before I reached the counter.
"There he is."
I have never been addicted to anything.
I just go to H-E-B every day now, because somebody there is expecting me.

Pope John Paul II made his 104th and final journey abroad as pope
He visited Lourdes Shrine in France
Despite being in considerable pain, he used all his strength to kneel at the site of the apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Grotto
He died 8 months later
What a beautiful night to be Catholic!
Thousands of pilgrims gathered at the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes for its beloved candlelight procession, carrying candles, praying the Rosary, and following Our Lady through a sea of light.
Tonight, Pope Leo XIV was not only present as the Holy Father, but as a pilgrim among pilgrims, joining the faithful in prayer for the Church and the whole world.
The candlelight Rosary procession is a daily tradition in Lourdes from but tonight was especially historic: Pope Leo XIV became the third pope to take part in it, following St. John Paul II and Benedict XVI.
Amazon has 250 million Prime members worldwide. 168 million of them are in the United States. They pay $139/year or $14.99/month for a membership most of them use for one thing: free 2-day shipping.
That's it. Order something. Get it in 2 days. That's the entire Amazon Prime experience for 90% of members.
A consumer savings analyst who's tracked Amazon's pricing infrastructure for 6 years said: "Amazon has a hidden clearance outlet most shoppers have never seen. A warehouse full of open-box products at 30-50% off. A $5/month prescription service covering 50+ medications. A page with hundreds of digital coupons nobody clips. A URL trick that filters any search to show only items 50-70% off. And a program that pays you $10/month just for uploading grocery receipts. Most Prime members use Amazon the way most people use a smartphone 10% of its capability, 100% of its price."
She showed her friend 11 Amazon features. He'd been a Prime member for 7 years. He'd used 1 feature: free shipping.
Here are the 11 things most Amazon shoppers have never found 🧵
