This is the moment when Rocky was being loaded onto the DPS chopper. Rocky is a U.S. Marshall K9 who was shot after he sniffed a suspect in dumpster. He was expected to survive. And is being called a hero. Story tonight on @KHOU at 10.

What is Houston going to do if we are hit with a Category 2, 3, 4, or 5 storm?

This is honestly concerning to me.

[City of Houston @HoustonTX]

We will hold CenterPoint accountable, but we must get the lights back on for all Houstonians first.
@houmayor John Whitmire asks Houstonians to welcome the CenterPoint and out of town line crews as they restore our power.
Threatening or endangering these crews is not who we are as Houstonians.
Please respect and give them space to work.
We are stronger together.

@HoustonTX Half the city do t have power and service has sucked. They not gnna see this till yall do yall job.

[Karama Ram @Kramaramb]

@HoustonTX Sounds good but half of Houston can't see this tweet until centerpoint is fixed.

Watch how the 3 potential tropical systems noted with the white X’s, interact with the massive Gyre. The gyre is in the process of seeding the likely #Alberto now. Then over this weekend into next week it may seed another #Beryl over the same general area.

This is why we need to have patience with power restoration. It's not just a "simple line that needs tape" ... we had serious winds, that did major damage. #powerlines #poweroutage #centerpoint #houston @KHOU

Downed & low hanging power and utility lines. They may not be live, but still very dangerous. Please drive carefully! Saw 2 near accidents only 15 minutes apart as drivers nearly plowed into low hanging steel cables. #KHOU11 #Weather
