@zzyzx@zzbenz They've been only allowing a certain number of applications each round during the testing phase. Then closing for a month or so, and reopening.
@PurseDreams It's one of the random facts my son knows and tells me every time he sees a bottle of bitters. It's been 3 days since he last mentioned it.๐
@mjstedy @rockywilsons Screening age was lowered to 45 a few years ago. Many people start with something like a FIT kit instead of colonoscopy, depending on family history.
@PurseDreams I'm so sorry. You and my brother should swap stories. He never made it back into his house, just got the clothes that were dropped off on my parents' porch, despite multiple judgements allowing him back in.
Some days your work is highlighted by the Journal of Obstetrics and Genecology, like today. First publication from the project that took over my life early in the pandemic.

@cosmos503 I just checked with my resident gen z, and he mostly just looked at me funny and tried to understand who was making a big deal out of this. Though did say a reaction to a message of a thumbs up vs sending the emoji as a message to a group text does seem a little different.
@caseyparks This is wonderful! Your mom's has better instructions (drain pineapple, order of layers when assembling, how long to chill). The addition of a quart of whipping cream might make you want to have a smaller serving.
@RManning47@OPB@lewisandclark@meerahpowell This article is missing a really important detail - dangerous hammock placement. Iโm disappointed that OPB would write this shock piece without mentioning the danger of hanging a hammock on something it wasnโt designed for. Injury at Irving Park this summer too - light pole fell.
@OPB@meerahpowell A similar incident happened at Irving Park this summer, with a hammock and a light pole that toppled over. Maybe an article that included hammock safety would be more helpful than this speculative one about lawsuits.
@col_forbin@Avis How is there not some sort of validity check in their system when charges get this high?!? What a huge hassle for what I assume was someone just miskeying the miles. Ugh.
@petersagal Japanese American National Museum & Geffen Contemporary (might be different exhibit now) were both captivating on our first/recent DTLA trip. Also recommend Cakeland. The free local bus (DASH) was great for a car-free trip.
@cosmos503 We had something similar at my college campus, except it was Purina Exotic Animal Chow (delicacies like monkey chow for zoos). When the wind blew in the right (wrong!) direction everything smelled like cat food. Thankfully winds didn't blow that way too often.
