My mom and I are both disabled and struggling financially right now. We’re trying to keep our water on, but we need help paying our $71.61 water bill. Any amount, even $1, would mean so much to us. Plz at least retweet this

Stop excusing inaccessibility for disabled people.
It’s not trivial, benign or harmless.
Inaccessibility is isolation, segregation and exclusion.
At its core, it is an attack on the freedom and humanity of disabled people.
It is harm.
We spent decades teaching people that cancer is mostly bad luck, bad genes, or bad habits.
Then you find out 2.3 million cases in a single year were attributable to infections.

They're basically telling immunocompromised and disabled people to risk death and further disability every day or you're mentally ill. And if it's really that bad stay home. But if you're housebound you're also mentally ill.
Aside from public health flat out lying about airborne transmission, the biggest scandal of the pandemic has been the entire architecture and subsequent culture of abandonment:
• Shift from "No fault of our own" to "personal responsibility."
• Normalize preventable infection, disability, and death.
• Strip away protections, then call exposure a “choice.”
• Strip individuals of the tools, resources and information to meet the burden.
• Exclude vulnerable people from public life and call it normal.
• Blame individuals for harms institutions chose not to prevent.

I’ll never understand how y’all motherfuckers just believed global governments, who have made it clear they don’t care if we live or die, that COVID-19 is a “non-issue” when all the publicly accessible research for six years has said that that’s completely fucking wrong.
Antimaskers are like: You check your mirrors EVERY time before switching lanes? That's classic moral OCD babe. You slow down in school zones? Omg just run kids over if they don't see you coming! People are going to die. That's just a fact of the world. You have to live your life.
