Cave Baby - The children in Reception are loving our core text and joining in with repeated refrains! 🐻 They have practised mark making spots, stripes, squiggles, stars and zig zags! We have even made mud cave paintings in the woodland garden.
Art inspired by Edgar Degas’ ballerinas. 🩰
Reception children @AASSheffPrimary made an observational drawing of a wooden mannequin posed as a ballerina, then they added the detail using pastels. They also made ballerina sculptures using tin foil.
A dead bee in our outdoor area sparked a new line of enquiry and lots of interest! 🐝 We planned a week of exciting opportunities for Reception children @AASSheffPrimary and we even made honey 🍯 biscuits at the end of the week!
Reception at AAS have been fascinated by bees this past half term🐝 We have used lots of different techniques to create our very own bumblebees such as printing and threading around pinecones🍯🐝
Prickly, tickly, spiky hedgehog! 🦔
We have been learning all about hedgehogs!
Our ‘Rhyme of the Week’ was the hedgehog song, we made hedgehog houses, drew pictures, learnt the name of a baby hedgehog and made hedgehogs using play-dough
