I'm honored to be part of @EitanChitayat@NatieBranding's #HerWords campaign focused on amplifying the voices of women leaders. I share my main philosophy on #diversity & #inclusion work, “Collaboration > Competition. Rising tides lift all the boats!” https://t.co/wd8TnjtoBZ
There’s no better way to reflect on 2022 than through the books I consumed. Out of the 111 books (31,288 pages) I read, here are my top 11 recommendations. Happy #reading! https://t.co/fwVbbKd6UU
A great resource from @AnpuLondon on respecting people’s names! To add to the recommendations, I’m a big fan of adding your name pronunciation on your @LinkedIn profile so people can listen and learn to how you say your name without repeatedly asking you to teach them.
Can’t think of anywhere I’d rather be than with the incredible @cgrantpickens @IBM & @jenniferbrown discussing how to lead inclusively through times of crisis. These calls are always great opportunities to embrace our DEI community and step forward in collective accountability ❤️
Excited to share my news: I am joining @LEGO_Group as their first Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer! I am energised by the unmatched & impactful opportunity to do #diversityinclusion work that reaches everyone, including our youngest generations. #LEGOTeam#BehindTheBricks
Today is my last day @tateandlyleplc. As I embark on my new adventure, I leave with a full ❤️ & conviction the company will see through the #equitydiversityinclusion journey we started together to “prize people, prioritise love and propel action by empowering all”-Talila A Lewis
“There are 300 million young people between the ages 15-25 on the African continent. We have to connect with them. We have to be where they are. We have to hear what they say. The future for Africa is exciting and beautiful.” -Dr Patrice Motsepe #ForbesUnder30AfricaSummit
Loving the #IWD2022 campaign from @CatalystInc, celebrating 60 years of #leadership driven and accelerated by empathy. An important concept and conversation, and one that @belindaparmar has always inspired me to prioritise. Here’s to empathy!❤️
Remember: IWD was founded in 1911 as International Working Women’s Day – a socialist, anti-racist celebration in honour of migrant women’s unionised struggles to escape terrible working conditions in garment factories.
100 years on, it's morphed into something very different.🧵
🧵No women are “supporting characters in feminism, and we can’t afford to wait for equality to trickle down eventually.” Remember if you’re not proactively part of the solution, your silence and inaction are part of the problem. Read more… https://t.co/TrSBxjFDpu
🧵 #IWD2022 is a day for recognition of all we have achieved, recommitment to all we continue to fight for & introspective querying of our reach & impact. What women are we uplifting or overlooking? It’s important to remember we cannot be free until every woman and girl is free!
🧵We must open our ❤️+👁 to global women’s suffering – how are we supporting women/girls in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Uyghur & Tutsi communities; how are we extending the 35yr life expectancy of trans women of colour; how are we rescuing the 28.4m women enslaved in human trafficking?
