What does it take to build a resilient #Africa? It begins with ensuring that women are not just included in the economy, but empowered to shape its future.
The 2nd EGUMENI Dialogue, which started on 19 October and runs until 21 October 2026, brought together distinguished leaders and stakeholders at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, under the theme âBuilding a Resilient Africa through Accelerated Womenâs Financial and Economic Inclusion.â
The dialogue spotlighted the need for a connected ecosystem that removes barriers to womenâs economic participation. A key highlight was the launch of the Women and Youth Financial and Economic Inclusion (WYFEI 2030) Initiativeâs Country Acceleration Strategy, alongside the unveiling of its symbolic equipment, reinforcing the commitment to turn continental ambitions into concrete action.

Five years now in peace and security work, and each year has deepened my understanding of a field that never stops teaching. My path has run through programs and advocacy, standing close enough to the work to feel its full weight and to carry genuine respect for what it demands.
