At Jantar Mantar,
Sonam Wangchuk's sir wife Gitanjali Angmo says,
"Sonam will end his hunger strike tomorrow if political leaders meet him at hospital and assure him that they will raise the issue of education accountability during Parliament session."
Seeing the enormous crowds of people at Jantar Mantar now, some people wonder: How have people who were quiet & docile till now suddenly woken up? The reason is: While many were alarmed by the downward slide of virtually everything in the country, they felt helpless. Cockroach Janta party’s agitation & Sonam Wangchuk’s fast has made them feel that they can do something. So they are now at Jantar Mantar.
Tomorrow’s march to Parliament will be historic

#WATCH | Delhi: On the plea seeking Sonam Wangchuk’s transfer from Safdarjung Hospital to a private hospital, Sonam Wangchuk's wife Dr. Gitanjali Angmo says, "They said they brought him in because they were deeply concerned about his health as it was declining. But these claims are incorrect. First of all, his health was not deteriorating at all. If you look at the reports from the evening prior, everything was absolutely normal; his potassium level was 4.3, and all other parameters were normal too. If you were truly so concerned about his health, why did you send police personnel in plainclothes? Why did you so ruthlessly pick him up, put him on a stretcher, and take him away? You could have simply come to conduct a medical test and informed his family that a certain level was low and you wished to take him in for that reason. That is the proper way to handle things in a democracy. If you were genuinely concerned about his health—and I want to say this without mincing words—then this whole narrative about health concerns is nothing but a charade. They were simply afraid that if Sonam set out on his march, hundreds of thousands of people would join him—not just in Delhi, but across the entire country—and they were trying to prevent that... We want to take them to doctors of our choice, where we feel comfortable, because if you look at the report from last night—blood pressure that usually stays at 110/70 had risen to 125/85. This is happening because of the atmosphere being created there..."
According to the police, the accused painted murals of activist #SonamWangchuk on public walls near the Jyoti Bishnu Auditorium in the Khanapara area. Two separate FIRs have been registered at different police stations in connection with the incident.

VIDEO | On July 20 Parliament march, Sonam Wangchuk's wife Gitanjali Angmo says, "I appeal to everyone to keep two things in mind. First, let us ensure the march remains completely peaceful. Second, stay alert to any nefarious elements who may try to disrupt or provoke it. Over the past 22 days at Jantar Mantar, the youth have shown they can raise their demands peacefully..."

VIDEO | Sonam Wangchuk's wife Gitanjali Angmo says, "Sonam Wangchuk is not the cause of this movement; he has only been a voice for the youth. The awakening has already begun, and whether he joins tomorrow's march or not, the movement will continue. If he is not allowed to leave the hospital, it will only strengthen public support. Tomorrow's march is just the beginning, aimed at sensitising parliamentarians to focus on policy. The campaign for education will continue, with people across the country joining the movement in their own way."
