As I’ve said last year in the case of Maris Racal, even cheaters have human rights.

Yung ex ni Anthony Jennings na babae was also not supported by a lot of people when she uploaded “resibos” or posted screenshots.

In exposing cheaters, people should be mindful not to run afoul of the law. Otherwise, marereverse uno card pa sila.

How to expose cheaters without violating multiple laws?

You can recount your own story from your own perspective and frame whatever you will post on social media as just sharing your story and frustrations and hurts.

You can redact or hide the names and other identifying information from your chats. People will connect the dots anyway from your own circle of friends. Trust that people are good investigators.

You can avoid calling your cheater ex words that could be considered misogynistic or sexist or homophobic or transphobic.

Otherwise, you’re really opening yourself up to multiple cases if your cheater ex is vindictive and empowered.

Possible if not probable cases that the girl can file against the guy even if the girl was wrong morally for cheating on the guy (who was also exposed to be a cheater):

CRIMINAL

1. Violence Against Women (VAWC)
- psychological violence given the intent to shame, humiliate, and torment her…

2. Safe Spaces Act
- GBOSH or gender based online sexual harassment which covers the use of ICT in intimidating or terrorizing victims such as through misogynistic remarks and unauthorized recording and sharing of any of the victim’s photos, videos, or any information online, or posting lies about victims to harm their reputation…

3. Cyberlibel… self-explanatory…

4. Data Privacy… self-explanatory…

5. Cyber unjust vexation… anything that annoys or vexes you (girl was obviously intentionally vexed by the guy recording and gift pranking).

CIVIL

1. Abuse of Rights (Articles 19-21 of the Civil Code).

Basically, if you want to exercise a legal right you have under the law you cannot use it in a way that is abusive or in bad faith.

Cheated people have a right to expose cheaters. They can share their stories to their friends and family. Verbally or through private chat.

But a massively viral expose will not only hurt your ex, it will also hurt yourself because you never know how the internet will react and expose you too.

Lean De Guzman was humiliated for two to three days. But Vinz Jimenez himself is now getting pushback.

There are no winners in airing dirty laundry, unless you’re a bystander or third party.
