CBI arrests suspected culprits!!!
Thank you CBI for this meticulous effort of arresting the suspected perpetrators in relation to alleged abduction and alleged murder of two Meitei students of Manipur, ‘Linthoingambi and Hemanjit’. However there's also the unsolved case of two innocent youths Ngaleiba and Chingkheinganba, who were brutally killed by #KukiMilitants and ditched to a pith. This gruesome #ManipurHorror shook the world as photos and videos went viral. Therefore, we appeal to the State and Central authorities to exert pressure on the militants to return the mortal remains on humanitarian grounds. Please provide the grieving families with the opportunity to find solace in performing the last rites.

Please let the grieving families have the mortal remains❗️
We do acknowledge the CBI's arrest of the suspected individuals connected to the alleged murder of Manipur students Linthoingambi and Hemanjit, yet their loved ones await for their mortal remains.
Furthermore, more than 20 members of the #Meitei community are missiluding journalist Atom Somorendro Singh and Yumkhaibam Kirankumar Singh, who were abducted on May 6, 2023.
We implore the State and Central authorities to investigate these missing cases and also recover the bodies of the deceased individuals.

This is Mt. Koubru, the Meiteis' one of the most sacred mountains. Lord Koubru is synonymous with Meiteis as it is intertwined with the history of Meiteis, ever since the origin of Meiteis.

Till very recently, Koubru was covered with thick forests, rich in flora and fauna. Atop the mountain, there's a lake which the Meiteis consider sacred, and the shrine of Lord Koubru. Every year in April, Meiteis go there for worship.

History has it that Meiteis originated at the foothills of Mt Koubru. Imphal valley was once inundated with water from the Loktak Lake. Meitei kings used to build single-wood boats made from the big trees of Mt. Koubru to explore Imphal valley. They eventually settled in Imphal once the water dried up.

The #Kukis started inhabiting the foothills of Mt. Koubru around 1990's. For the last 3-4 years, Meitei pilgrims have been intimidated and threatened regularly.

The mountain has been scalped clean. 300+ year old trees are no longer to be seen, the lake has dried up. The shrine of Lord Koubru has been destroyed allegedly.
