I had the honour of attending Services of Remembrance at Ynysangharad War Memorial Park & Groesfaen Memorial today.
I also paid tribute to all those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom by laying wreaths across the constituency 🌹#Pontypridd#TaffEly
In case anyone is wondering, we’ve now taken down the poppies around the Guto square area in Mountain Ash town centre.
We’ve removed some but have left a few around the war memorial In Dyffryn wood, they will stay up while the rest will be stored for next year.
The Wales and the Battle of Britain 80th Anniversary Exhibition, hosted by the Council, opens in Pontypridd tomorrow @PoppyLegion@HelpForHeroes@CombatStress https://t.co/XYWlTtn0ew
@YPantSchool was lucky enough to have several representatives at this local remembrance event - a number of pupils in the Guides/Brownies and Mr M Giles playing the ‘Last Post’ 🎺 It’s so important to remember the people who gave their lives for our freedom #LestWeForget
Honoured and privileged to lay a wreath with my fellow ward Cllr @wendytreeby today at the Mountain Ash war memorial

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Armed Forces Veterans Service supports hundreds of veterans and their families all year around.
Among those it helps is Darryl Lewis, of Rhondda, a member of the Valley Veterans group.
