@MKBHD Working on something of my own and can see the pricing being reasonable. I think your team did a good job on the cost analysis part. With the number of audience you have, it would be financial wreck if ain't that price.
There is no such thing as free. If you aren't paying cash for it, you probably are paying with your privacy. And no tech is free. Everything costs. Every request sent from your devices costs. You pay your isp. But that doesn't cover the server cost, so somebody have to pay that.
@rsgnl Lol. I tried the app and it's alright. It offers no account usage too. It isn't bad product. For what he does, it fits for what he could create in that space. And that app does have premium feel to it. But it ain't useless like many are saying.
@UMAD@flyosity I agree with Asem. I don’t use it either. It is accessible from everywhere at this point and thus no need to have it take more space than needed.
@AnxiousHolly Or, change your phone ever two year. Buy the phone with two year financing and it will cost around the same price and you get to keep the phone that you used.
Hear me out, a notion-like application is just a file explorer but slower. If File Explorer has in-app editing and customization abilities, it will replace all these other applications and be faster. But that would be hard to maintain for sure. Just a thought.
@iOS10Pro Prime example of: Different doesn’t mean easiest.
How long does it take to switch apps? Not as long as you wait to load all the apps from that shortcut.
Personally, I prefer apple way.
@DystopianRevolt Cry about it. But people know what apple did and how it is different than any other companies. People working in this industry know who is contributing and who is working toward what. Least informed is the fact here. ✌️
Pushing 3rd party code is like going through TSA with a random package your relative gave and believing they didn't put something illegal in it. Don't do that. It would be best to double-check and test in the virtual development environment that mimics prod.
I think each company that took this update blindly should also be blamed. All these companies' CEO and CTOs should also be blamed for what happened. No companies should put their systems to take in and push 3rd party code into production without testing.
