I am very upset to hear of the passing of the great Tony McGann MBE. He received international recognition for his pioneering work in local regeneration and was deeply committed to his community. It was an honour to be associated with him. A very sad loss

Good to hear that the government has agreed to pause the roll out of smart motorways without hard shoulders. It’s a pity they didn’t listen to the Transport Select Cttee in 2016 when we warned about the dangers of proceeding without proper safety evaluation.
