On St. Patrick's Day, we must not forget that Britain was built on Irish labour — Navigator Square in my constituency is named after Irish “navigators” who created this country’s canals, roads & railways.

@LeeReynoldsUKNI Lost Lives documents the first Troubles death as Francie McCloskey, a shy 66 year old bachelor from Dungiven. He was beaten to death with batons by the RUC in Main Street. No one was charged or even questioned. No point ringing the police when the police are doing the killing.
Imagine this said all blacks Muslims or lgbtq people are targets .. taigs is slang for catholics .. where’s the outcry and how is it allowed in this day and age 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Lodge members singing about a murdered Catholic girl, bandsmen smashing up a house, signs saying ‘Kill All Taigs’ & ‘We’re not racist we just don’t like niggas’ etc. Face painters painting Kill All Taigs on kids faces. Lovely celebration of culture.
Went to my first eleventh night bonfire on Monday night. And went round quite a few of them in Belfast before they were set alight in the afternoon.

Eleventh night bonfires: This isn't culture. This is a hate fest | Newstalk https://t.co/D6EyizV60S
Hi Liz, there’s an island next door to Britain called Ireland
Much of it has been liberated from the coloniser, but 6 counties remain
I hope you support these “islanders rights to determine their own future”
PS. You & your Govt are currently threatening our self-determination
Sometimes there are no words that can adequately capture the emotion and significance of something as horrific as Bloody Sunday or important as the Good Friday Agreement. Liam Neeson does it with no words at all. Floored me. Peace in Northern Ireland MUST be protected #DerryGirls
"While this is a sad day for Northern Ireland, it is a shameful day for the DUP"
Alliance Party leader Naomi Long criticises members of the DUP for taking their salaries but refusing "to take their seats and do the work to earn it"

100 years ago Northern Ireland was designed to ensure it would always be under unionist control.
That design has now disappeared. The #GoodFridayAgreement means that no one political viewpoint can dominate it in the same way as unionism dominated it in its first 75 years. #AE22
