There aren’t many better ways to start a day than watching the sunrise over the ocean.

At Cuckolds Cove St.John's Newfoundland it is a fantastic place to take in a sunrise. With the fireweed soon to be along the hills of the cove, it will be an added bonus to the eyes.

Nous oublions souvent une chose essentielle : l'algorithme apprend surtout de nous, et plus précisément de ce que nous regardons et encourageons.

Si nous partageons du vide, alors nous tendons à créer un environnement saturé de médiocrité.

Mais si nous nous efforçons de diffuser des réflexions pertinentes, du contenu enrichissant, des œuvres inspirantes, alors nous participons aussi à transformer l’espace numérique.

Publier du contenu positif est une manière de réorienter l’attention collective.

The painting is actually called The Sun (1911), and it is physically gigantic (over 4x7 meters) for the University of Oslo.

Munch got so obsessed with capturing real light that he built an outdoor studio on the coast just to paint it.

It’s a wild plot twist for anyone who only knows Munch for the existential dread of The Scream.

Turns out, the king of anxiety was also completely capable of painting absolute joy, vitality, and a bright morning.

He mastered the light just as well as the dark.

Pakistan just received over 450 smuggled antiquities worth ~$23 million from the United States.

Huge thanks to ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the Manhattan DA’s Antiquities Trafficking Unit for seizing these from smuggling networks and making the return possible.

This includes priceless Gandharan Buddhist sculptures and 4,000+ year old Mehrgarh terracotta figurines, some of the earliest artifacts from the region.

Long before memes, Bernini showed that a few quick lines could make the elite look small enough to laugh at.

His caricatures turned popes, princes, and nobles into recognizable faces marked by vanity, stiffness, pride, and human weakness.

He stripped away ceremony, costume, polished drawing, and official grandeur, then used outline and deliberate awkwardness to expose the person beneath the office.

The danger came from likeness. The sitter still had to be recognized, because ridicule works best when the viewer knows exactly who has been reduced.

Bernini borrowed the force of graffiti, children’s drawings, and popular wit, then brought that rough visual language into the highest rooms of Europe.

In Rome and later at the French court, caricature entered elite circles as amusement, yet it carried the deeper logic of political satire.

Power can command silence, but one honest line can teach people how to laugh before they bow.
