"[L]ight comes when Job focuses on God, not on his own pain. Relief is found by giving up with the questions and resting in God’s known character. Wisdom isn’t about knowing why, but knowing God." (Phil Crowter, in Job "Explore" study guide, on chap. 28)
Dear Christian, the gospel is not only why you are to love others, it is also how you are to love them. We love them because of the gospel and we love them with the gospel.
We can pray today that:
—Our world sees church as essential
—Abortion is unmasked as abomination
—This awful pandemic cleanses us of “self-confidence”
—God raises up men who preach sound doctrine
—Christians don’t fear the world
—Young Xians spark a global missions outbreak

The gospel is powerful enough to heal the infinite division between a Holy God and sinful humanity. So I have to believe that it’s powerful enough to heal the ethnic division between black, white & beyond. That truth keeps me going. Otherwise, I would have given up long ago.

Contrary to our culture, boys are not idiots.
Or goofballs.
Or annoyances.
Boyhood isn’t inherently “toxic.”
Boys are made by God.
Fallen in Adam, boys need Christ desperately.
They need love.
They need training.
They need instruction.
They need a father & mother.

Everything originates in Jesus. Everything is moving toward Jesus. Everything between is sustained by Jesus.
Fear not.
How should we handle a lifetime of regrets? Remember that Christ died for a million regrets. Don’t rely too much on memory. Allow your regrets to deepen your love for grace. Press on toward the future in faith. https://t.co/z25p45UJap
