jungeun’s plus chat message for the end of ‘set the tempo’ promotions oh my god i will CRY…. 😭😭😭😭😭😭☹️💔
🐆: First of all, during this promotion, naya wrote me so many letters and gave me so much strength that I wanted to write you all a letter too… hehe. We spent 8 long months preparing for this comeback, and during that time I really worked so, so hard. I kept thinking, “How can I help naya not get tired of waiting during such a long hiatus? What should I show them to make them more excited? What would they like? Will they like this?” Those thoughts were always on my mind while I was preparing.
To be honest, this comeback didn’t receive the kind of response that I had passionately hoped and prepared for, so I was really, really heartbroken. But while preparing, I missed naya so much, so every stage we performed for this album became an incredibly precious memory to me.
And I think during promotions I may have shown some moments where I wasn’t feeling my best… whether it was at fansigns or when sending messages on Plus Chat. I think naya worried about me a lot. But the reason I was able to keep going was because of all of you. Thanks to naya, I found the strength to keep going.
I didn’t get to meet every single naya, but while doing fansigns this week, instead of just thinking of them as a fun time to chat with you all, I tried to really reflect on what NAYA means to me before meeting you. And as I did that, I found myself deeply moved by just how much you love someone like me, even with all my shortcomings. I was truly… so touched that I can’t even put it into words.
Since we’re all human, you know that we can’t be happy every single day, right? But naya makes me happy every day. Thank you for reminding me once again that you’re that kind of presence in my life.
Every single thing you say to me means so much. Thank you so, so much… really, truly… Your words give me incredible strength. I’m not just saying that.
If someone were to ask me how this promotion went, I’d say it was naya who made this promotion what it was.
It had been a long time since our last comeback, and thank you for giving me so many new thoughts, experiences, and feelings. Thank you for helping me realize so many things.
I still have a lot of shortcomings… I always think that I’m lacking in many ways. Naya always tells me that I don’t have any shortcomings and that I’m doing well, but I’m not saying this to put myself down. I just want to say that there’s no such thing as a perfect person in this world.
So even if, from now on, people tell me, “Thank you for always doing so well without lacking anything,” I’ll probably still keep thinking of myself as someone who has room to improve. I think that’s how I’ll be able to keep growing without limits.
It’s already been more than half a year since I turned 20, and honestly, I’m so happy to be in my twenties. Hehe. It’s because this is the very first step of my twenties, the beginning of everything I’ll fill this decade with.
I’m really excited. I’m excited to see how much I’ll grow, how much more my love for performing on stage will grow as I stand on all kinds of stages, and how happy my twenties will be as I spend them together with NAYA.
Some people tell me not to grow up too quickly, but every single day fills me with excitement. Let’s make my twenties beautiful together, one day at a time. 💗
