Trauma doesn't make people stronger. It damages their nervous system. It hijacks their digestive track. It keeps the person in a constant loop of hypervigilance. To tell someone they are stronger because of trauma is to deny what it cost them to survive it.
it’s such a sick tragedy to have such great chemistry with someone who cannot meet you halfway communication wise. you can have so much passion, great conversation, humor & banter together & yet, their emotional maturity is nowhere to be found.
I used to beg my ex for the bare minimum. now, I’m with someone that will meet me at the gas station because he doesn’t want me to have to pump my own gas. the point is, if that man won’t do it, there’s another out there that will. never ever settle.
