I told a guy that 70% of women that suffer from breast cancer are abandoned by their male "partners". He replied that we women would simply have to pick a guy that fits the 30%. To him, the problem totally is NOT the guys abandoning their wives at one of the most BRUTAL moments that a woman can go through. The problem is SHE is not picking the guy wisely. I swear to you, men are completely allergic to accountability.
@julianadel7 i had someone in my comments defending citi field for not giving back the parking they had people pay for. these people defending citified are insane
@_BABYLONLFTV@cassiefrey_wx and what an absolute moron to reply to me regarding this when you yourself had to deal with a hershey park cancellation. if they made you pay for parking without a refund i’m sure you’d be thanking the corporation for taking your money…absolutely weirdo behavior
a) a girl put on an SSRI at eight may have had debilitating anxiety. This will prevent her from speaking to her first crush, make her catastrophize her first heartbreak, make her vomit at the thought of her first kiss, and everything will always be ratcheted up a few notches as she never gets better. Now that she's on an SSRI, she can live her life, continue to flourish in school at home, and sleep properly, impacting her future health greatly
b) a girl put on an SSRI should be monitored closely for emotional numbness which is a side effect and not the desired effect of SSRIs. This is not hard to do with basic follow up.
c) stop using girls at 8 as "emotional wedges" - parents who are watching their children fall apart, be unable to go to school, or make friends, are not appreciative of your attempts to shame them for seeking help.
d) whenever possible (and it is NOT always possible), psychotherapy is desirable as a first option vs ssri therapy. However, you cannot drag a child through therapy and if things are dire, SSRIs may be necessary, and that's ok.
Sincerely,
a child and adolescent psychiatrist
Just a reminder: Your enemy isn’t the guy making $60k a year. It’s the billionaire making $60k a minute, hoarding record wealth while cutting jobs and lecturing workers about fiscal responsibility.
I just heard this girl say, "If men didn't have to wipe their ass, toilet paper would not be free in public spaces. bleeding is also a natural bodily function, but because men don't do it, it's not treated as universal."
food and drinks consumed in a movie theater doesn’t really go into your body. it goes into your movie theater body which is separate & holy and harm-proof
The middle class is the most expensive place to live, and no one talks about it. Lower income households get assistance. The wealthy use tax strategies and loopholes. But the middle class pays full taxes, full tuition, full healthcare, full everything. So you work 50 hours a week just to stay in the same place and fund everyone’s life except yours.
