Mission accomplished for this week. Purple Hairstreaks at Coatham Stobb between 6pm and 7.15pm this evening, at least 10 but possibly more. Some were quite tatty so maybe been on the wing for a while. @teesbirds1 @nybirdnews

We are currently in attendance at a large fire in the open near to Ryvoan Bothy within the Cairngorms National Park.

Due to large volumes of smoke residents in the surrounding communities should keep their windows and doors closed.
