@Urban_Immerser@jonobri There’s no risk in Vic either. The Tribunal can only rule that a proposed increase is excessive or dismiss an application.
I just don’t think the difference is so great that we would see remarkably divergent outcomes.
@Urban_Immerser@jonobri I think the fee for a VCAT application is a nominal 70 bucks which is nothing compared to the foregone wages required to attend a hearing. Take your point on delayed increases, but still suspect there is enough friction to prevent an avalanche of frivolous applications.
@Urban_Immerser@jonobri Doesn’t sound all that different to the Victorian process? People don’t apply to the Tribunal to review reasonable rent increases because it would be a hassle and a waste of time.
Bit amusing that City of Yarra officers are recommending that their own affordable housing project is submitted to the state government rather than their own planning department….
Dezi Freeman’s camp is located in the Rural Activity Zone and affected by the Bushfire Management Overlay and Significant Landscape Overlay.
Has anyone told Towong Shire Council that someone has developed a dwelling without a permit in all of this?
