Hydra Voting for the Cardano 2026 Budget Process facilitated by Intersect is now complete.
More than 5 billion ₳ of voting power participated, around 85% of all active DRep stake.
That's over 100 DReps giving their votes to Cardano, with participation levels exceeding the 2025 budget cycle.
Thank you to everyone who submitted proposals, asked questions, provided feedback, voted, and helped strengthen the process.
🔍 Next: Independent audit (15–19 June)
📊 Then: Audited results, consolidation, and on-chain submission preparation
Governance in action. Thank you, Cardano.

⏰ Under 2 hours left to vote on "Intersect Technical Steering Committee Support" on Intersect's Hydra Voting platform.
Dancing on the edge 😱: 68.7% vs the 67% needed. A handful of votes either way decides it.
If you haven't voted, now's the moment 👉 https://t.co/isf17jZqNL
⏳ Less than a day left to vote on "Intersect Technical Steering Committee Support" on Intersect's Hydra Voting platform.
Two ways to read any proposal: what happens if it passes, and what if it doesn't 🧵👇
Here is a wild ask, with ~16.5 hours remaining…
DReps, Please allow the OSC to continue forward with implementing the Paid Open Source Model for a consecutive year. If it pleases everyone, we’d be happy to work with @IntersectMBO as an administrator, to submit Info Actions by program or holistically once all has been published against 2025 Treasury Withdrawal spend.
There has been some great feedback from DReps, even though our answers may not have directly addresssed every concern, we are confident that we have put forth our willingness to adapt and listen. Thanks in advance for any and all consideration!

One thing that has become very clear during the Constitutional Committee election process is that we have a participation problem.
With just four candidates currently registered for four available seats, we are on track for an election without competition. While that may technically fill the vacancies, it raises broader questions about why more people are not stepping forward.
I've spoken with several people who would have been strong candidates. The most common reason for not running has not been lack of interest, lack of expertise, or lack of commitment to Cardano.
It's that the role is unpaid.
Constitutional Committee members are expected to review governance actions, assess constitutional compliance, remain available throughout their term, and help ensure Cardano governance can continue functioning. These are not symbolic positions. They carry real responsibility.
The same conversation is increasingly happening around DReps as well.
To be clear, compensation is not currently guaranteed, and nobody should run expecting it. But the topic is receiving serious attention. The Governance Incentives Working Group is actively discussing solutions. Multiple CIPs and independent proposals are exploring different models. The details differ, but the underlying message is consistent: many people across the ecosystem recognize that critical governance functions need to be sustainable.
Whether any particular proposal succeeds remains to be seen.
What matters is that the conversation has moved from "should we discuss this?" to "how do we solve it?"
Hopefully that sends a signal to people who have been sitting on the fence. The community wants governance to succeed. The community wants capable people to participate. And the community is actively looking for ways to make that participation sustainable over the long term.
If you've considered running for the Constitutional Committee, there's still time.

When you vote on a single proposal on the Hydra Voting platform, your stake is then counted as participating stake across the whole ballot. Any additional proposals that you have not voted on are calculated as a "No" vote.
This video shows how to vote Yes/No or Abstain on an individual proposal.

Hello DReps and Cardano Community,
The OSC has worked tirelessly over the weekend and today to present responses to feedback for our 'Paid Open Source Model - Continue' 2026+ Treasury Proposal. We invite additional feedback and remain ready for discussion.
Check out the Proposal and Comments: https://t.co/D4ib3vpeKR
Meet with us on Friday in the @coc_space!
DReps have asked, the OSC delivers. A Draft version of Milestones that would apply to 'Paid Open Source Model - Continued' have been added to the OSC GitBook page.

We encourage DRep and Community review of the proposed Milestones. As they are still in draft, they are subject to change based on actionable feedback and continued program delivery with Treasury funding awarded in 2025.
