@hivosrosa @bvtatrust @hut_green@lupane_state@africanfoodrev we were really disappointed to apply for the last call Hivos advertised - the African crossroads fund - and never receive acknowledgement of our application or see the outcomes anywhere. So would be hesistant to apply for a new call...
The New Dimensions Lab is back! If you are an artist based in Africa who would like to develop a nonfiction XR project then please apply - we will be doing a deeper dive into social XR experiences this year too.

So pleased to share that Lumen Global Majority Award Winners @RusselHlongwane, @FrancoisKnoetze and @Amy_L_Wilson_ of @lodeffilms, have won an Award of Distinction at the S+T+ARTS Prize Africa @ArsElectronica for “Dzata: The Institute of Technological Consciousness”.
In fabricating a fictional institute and its archive, the artists imagine centuries-old vernacular technological practices from across the African continent.
Huge congrats guys! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
