The High Level Mediation for South Sudan, led by Chief Mediator Lt. Gen. The mediation team provided a comprehensive update on the status of the mediation process, highlighting recent achievements and the few remaining unresolved issues.

President Kiir appreciated the Mediators, Parties, and Stakeholders for their continued commitment to the process. He offered valuable insights, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity and sustainable solutions for achieving lasting peace. All expressed a strong desire to advance the peace process and discussed opportunities for enhanced collaboration to further strengthen mediation efforts.

The meeting laid the groundwork for the next steps in the Tumaini Initiative, with a focus on fostering a durable resolution for the people of South Sudan.
