i know this is a joke, but i see the serious version a lot, and i have to say: its actually really weird that its LLMs specifically that are good at math (to the extent they are) and at coding. like this is the weirdest possible way for computer to be good at computer

@0chraceus @hecubian_devil notably go ais did not reach superhuman strength by just computing more variations. It’s reasonable for something like deep blue but at a certain point “just computing stuff” becomes a really inadequate description of what’s going on here

@brunellaism 100%, and to the limited extent that there is something you can call an MFA style, the problem with it imo is that it focuses on eliminating flaws over cultivating style and interest. The classics are full of bizarre flaws but we forgive them
