The key difference is that domesticated animals can thrive with proper care, while wild animals can’t.

@fom1e @bloomjpg It’s a sanctuary not a zoo, but yes, they are there because they are non-releasable, meaning they lack the skills or physical ability to survive in the wild. The only other option would be euthanasia, or they can teach millions of people on why you shouldn’t keep them as pets.
